What we work on
Climate change adaptation and nature-based solutions
Tree planting, forest and watershed restoration, and livelihoods that can hold up under a less predictable climate.
The rainfall that farms and rivers in the Western Region depend on has become harder to predict, and the forest cover that buffered it has thinned.
ACEPS approaches this through nature-based solutions: restoring the systems that already did this work. Tree planting, watershed protection and biodiversity conservation, run with the communities who will maintain them, alongside education on what the changing climate means for their own land.
